Dsi exclusive games?

t appears that the first Nintendo DSi-only games will be hitting this fall. Sources tell Kotaku that the new software will join titles with DSi-exclusive enhanced capabilities, and will feature visually distinct package.

As is the case with the Wii, it seems that these DSi-exclusive games will be packaged in all-white game cases. They will also come with a warning that says that they are only compatible with the DSi, with the game carts themselves using white plastic.

It seems that Nintendo will let third-party publishers take the lead in developing DSi-specific software, much as it did with the Wii MotionPlus.

During the Game Developer’s Conference, DSi project leader Masato Kuwahara revealed that they will be releasing two different kinds of DS cartridges. It appears that this is what Kuwahara is referring to, but with fall essentially upon us, it’s getting a little later to announce DSi-specific retail games.

Treat this as a rumor for now, and we’ll post more information when we have it.
